Key features
Hydrophilic expansion: Rapid, controlled expansion when exposed to water to seal joints and prevent leakage.
Durable material: High-quality rubber compound resistant to aging, salts and most chemicals.
Multiple fixing types: Self-adhesive (peel-and-stick) or mechanical (nail/fixing strip) options.
Reliable joint performance: Designed for construction joints, cold joints, post-pour strips and pipe penetrations.
Easy on-site handling: Clean cuts, smooth overlaps, and simple corner detailing for fast installation.
Standards & traceability: Supplied with batch test reports and conforming expansion performance.
Typical applications
Basement retaining walls and floor slabs
Water tanks, reservoirs and swimming pools
Tunnels, culverts and subways
Sewage and wastewater treatment structures
Irrigation channels and retaining structures
Technical highlights (example specs)
Note: Final specs vary by model. Provide model-specific datasheet on product page.
Typical sizes: 30 × 20 mm, 20 × 15 mm, other custom widths available
Final expansion: ≥ 220% (example target)
7-day net expansion: ≤ 60% of final expansion (controlled/slow swell)
Material: Hydrophilic rubber compound (proprietary polymer blend)
Fixing: Self-adhesive backing or nail/strip fixing
Packing: Coils (10 m / 20 m / 30 m) — packed on pallets
Why choose water-swelling rubber waterstop strips?
Active sealing — Unlike passive mechanical stops, these strips actively swell to fill micro-gaps formed by shrinkage, settlement or cracking.
Low maintenance — Once properly embedded and protected by concrete, they provide long service life without external maintenance.
Versatile installation — Suitable for direct bonding, groove installation or combined use with groutable composite waterstops (with injection tube).
Cost effective — Lower installation time and reduced need for repeated remedial works.
Installation highlights (do’s & don’ts)
Do prepare substrate: remove laitance, expose sound concrete, ensure dry surface.
Do center the strip in the construction joint and maintain recommended overlap ≥ 50 mm.
Do protect installed strips from rain and construction water before casting.
Don’t butt joint ends—always lap; avoid direct contact with vibrator; maintain minimum concrete cover.
